SERVICES

Clinical Psychology

Adolescent and adult clients may present with a variety of mental health problems such as anxiety disorders (health anxiety, OCD, panic disorder, social anxiety, PTSD, trauma, and generalised anxiety "constant worrying"), mood disorders (depression, stress, trauma, bipolar disorder, low self-esteem), eating disorders, addiction, chronic health conditions, self-harm and suicidal behaviour.

I am also supporting young people to cope with cyber bullying and how to use technology safely.

The fee for a 50 minute session is £120.

Trauma Therapy

Trauma-informed and focussed therapeutic work is provided to young people and adults. The definition of trauma within an EMDR treatment process is a term used for painful memories a client is presenting with, which elicit emotional pain, shame, guilt, anxiety, and impact on the overall well-being and mood. The client continues to experience discomfort when being reminded of a past event and struggles to adjust.

Fees range from £120 - £180 depending on session length.

CONSULTATION AND SUPERVISION

I provide consultation to schools and other services. This involves training of staff, one-off or continuous assessment of and treatment for individuals in need for therapeutic support.

I provide supervision to qualified clinical psychologists.

HIGH SENSITIVITY

As a special interest, I have trained in supporting individuals with the trait of high sensitivity (HS). HS is not a disorder; it is a trait found in about 15 - 20% of the population. Highly sensitive people (HSP)

are easily overwhelmed, which is due to their ability to be highly aware of their external and internal world. HSP may have very sensitive sensory systems, can experiences intense emotions and are highly empathic. See here for more information:https://hsperson.com and also feel free to read my article on high sensitivity on my website.

I am supporting families with highly sensitive children (HSC) as well as highly sensitive individuals presenting with or without psychopathology. HSC can often be misunderstood as neurodevelopmental symptoms such as ASD and ADHD. Talk to me to find out more about this.
